The Venetian Las Vegas

Ok, I was kind of floored that I hadn’t paid attention to this hotel and its food offerings until a recent trip to Vegas. Two years ago, Willow and I went to ate at a noodle house in there hotel but I never looked into other food options. This trip was a different. Two places I wanted to go were located inside of there plus two of my favorite bakery stops are in there as well. Thanks to this weekend, I can officially say that The Venetian has the best food options in Las Vegas as far as hotels go. Here’s a look at some hot spots for you to check out.

Black Tap

Burgers and shakes is where it's at and Black Tap serves both up. Black Tap brings you an experience beyond just the best burger and shake you’ve ever had. From their decor to their playlists, Black Tap creates something more than just shareable, it’s a sensation you’ll just have to see to believe. I originally heard of Black Tap in New York but did not make it during my trip last year. As I was flipping through y IG I saw there was on in Vegas and after three attempts I finally got what I came for; A MILKSHAKE! It was everything I dreamed of.

Think wrap-around porches, swings, mason jar lemonade, magnolia trees, and a nice summer breeze. That's Yardbird. It seriously took me back to living in Louisiana. The fried chicken was absolutely worth the weight and like any southern dish, the portions were a waistline killer. The waffle came with a bourbon maple syrup that was just okay. I still enjoyed the evening there.

Carlos Bakery

I'm just going to say two words to sum this up. CAKE. BOSS

The Dorsey

The Venetian’s stylish cocktail bar slinging boozy drinks and undeniable Vegas vibe was wonderful. You might find yourself drinking a cocktail out of a fishbowl, flamingo or tiki glass, but it's still classy and makes for a good time. So whether you simply want to sip and savor the night from a sofa or hit the dance floor, you’re in for a long evening at the Dorsey.

With inspiration from Mexico, Argentina, Peru and pretty much every corner of Central and South America, Chica serves up authentic Latin flavors in Las Vegas. Look for empanadas, ceviche, arepas and, yes, even a few tacos, on the menu here. Order a zesty Caipirinha, a citrusy Margarita or a classic Pisco Sour from Chica’s cocktail list to round out your meal.
