F*CK PUMPKIN!

I know, the title of this post is super harsh but hear me out. I HATE PUMPKIN! I can't ever recall a time where it crossed my mind as being delicious or caused a craving. In fact, the idea of pumpkin makes my stomach turn and makes me think of orange chunks coming up. My hate is very much based off of an assumption because I've never even had pumpkin. That's right, I'm over here hating something just because it doesn't sound right.

I've always grown up with the idea of sweet potato being bomb. I mean, what's a holiday without some bomb sweet potato pie? You can check out my recipe here. Even Martha Stewart doesn't f*ck with pumpkin. She agrees that it's for basic bitches only. But I do have to wonder if it's so terrible why does the world go crazy for it in July when it really doesn't even get cold until August.

So this post is all about me testing out a variety of pumpkin items; Starbucks latte, a donut, and even deodorant. So, here goes the dumbest experiment I could think of.

 Native Pumpkin Spice Latte Deodorant

Yeah, you read that right. There's a pumpkin deodorant floating around in the world. I initially came across this brand this past summer because of a mimosa deodorant they had. Unfortunately, I missed the bandwagon and didn't get a chance to purchase it. Since I'm doing this pumpkin haul I'm giving it a go and to my surprise it's been a pleasant experience.

I've worn it for about a week. I feel like that's enough time for my body to adjust and either accept or reject it. It's not extremely strong in scent but subtle. I work outside and sweat a lot so musty pumpkin was my biggest fear. This is an all natural deodorant so that made me nervous as well. Again, no complaints and I felt protected. So the pumpkin deodorant gets two thumbs up.

Okay, so I have to admit that this one was kind of a fail before I even drank it. I DO NOT DRINK COFFEE! You read that right...I'm just not a fan. I've had it a total of two times in my life and was disgusted each time. So this drink sat in my fridge for a couple of weeks because I just wasn't feeling it. I'm not a morning person and I had to get up rather early a few weeks back to head downtown so I figured what better day to try it than a day I was forced from my bed while it was still dark out.

Much to my surprise, I sucked this drink up! I mean, I dropped my straw in and was hooked from the first sip. It was so good! The pumpkin isn't as strong as one would think but it was kind of there. It's actually something I would drink again and probably on a regular basis. I also found that me and caffeine don't get along and I was bouncing off the walls by that evening. So, I'll have to keep my consumption to a minimum.

So this was my last product in the pumpkin trial and so far I'm 2/2 so I just knew this one was going to be the product to spoil the challenge for me. I usually just like simple flavors like Strawberry and prefer a whipped consistency so this would be different since it had some add ins to create the idea of pumpkin pie...yuck.  It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great. Chobani makes good yogurt so that wasn't the problem. I'm sure it was the pumpkin seeds that did it. The crumble that acted as the crust was sweet so I most definitely enjoyed that. I can't say that this spoiled the challenge for me but it's not something I would eat regularly or even again o be honest.
